A closer look

Symbols of a whole,
abundant life

Together, these details tell a story of honoring where we have come from, receiving God’s light, and growing toward the life we are meant to live.

The flourishing tree

The zesty tree represents a life that is living, learning, and continually becoming. Its many branches remind us that growth can reach in new directions while remaining connected to a steady center. It also symbolizes our relationships, especially our children and our marriage relationship, and how important it is to allow those we love to go out into the world, spread their branches to learn, grow, and expand. As we allow for this freedom of growth and learning to happen, our loved ones come back to us with greater excitement and want to share their new insights, giving us much more to enjoy communicating about. This brings richness and beauty to our relationships, and builds a deeper trust in one another, as it enhances our ability to spread our branches and grow, while still remaining strong within our core tree.

Our earthly and divine family tree

The tree not only represents our earthly family trees and generational history, but also the family of God and our divine heritage. Its branches symbolize our need to continually reach toward heaven for guided inspiration, truth, and light.

The citrus fruit

The lemons, oranges, limes, and grapefruit express the ‘zest’ in Zesty Life Services—joy, vitality, individuality, and the bright flavor each person brings to the world. They also remind me of a time when I lost my zest for life—and how I regained it. This tree can remind you, too, that if you have found your zest waning, you can regain that beautiful, zesty part of yourself and begin living life to the fullest. It is our birthright to live a zesty, abundant life, full of energy, vitality, and enthusiasm!

The deep roots

The visible roots honor faith, family, ancestry, Mother Earth, and the experiences that have shaped us. They also reflect generational healing: understanding what we inherited, nourishing what is good, and releasing what no longer serves our families. The roots also remind us how important it is to be grounded and solidly rooted with faith in Jesus Christ. The roots of this tree also remind us that there are some times when we may lose a sense of who we really are. During those times, we may have to dig deep and go into our roots to unearth the true essence of who we really are, to find our true purpose and our "zest" for life again. At these times, I am reminded to give myself grace...and I hope you will give yourself grace as you go through these times of deep discovery too.

Fruit and blossoms together

Fruit and blossoms appear side by side because life holds many seasons at once. We may be planting, blooming, rebuilding, and harvesting in different parts of our lives—and every faithful season has value. They also remind me of the scripture in Matthew 7:16 where Jesus compares people to trees. This scripture helps us understand that a healthy tree grows good fruit and a sick or bad tree grows bad fruit. Jesus teaches that our character matters, and we can know if a person is of good character by their fruits, which symbolizes their actions: daily choices, honesty, and kindness. We can tell if they are of a good character by witnessing their love, peace, patience and goodness, and the long-term impact a person leaves behind. The blossoms and fruit also remind me that Jesus wants us to SHINE our light and not hide our gifts and talents under a bushel. (Matthew 5:15) God wants us to be a beacon of light that can guide others to Him. As this logo helps to inspire me, I hope this logo will also help others feel the love of God and inspire them to keep moving forward, keep learning and growing and become all that they were created to be.

The diamond

The soft diamond creates a sense of balance and alignment around the tree. It reflects the whole-person approach of Zesty Life Services: mind, body, spirit, and purpose working together. It also symbolizes the relationship between a married couple, with Jesus Christ at the head of their union at the top of the diamond, one spouse at each side corner, and their family of children at the bottom point—all working together and connected through the gift of charity, the pure love of Christ. It reminds me that wherever Jesus Christ is, everything grows. When we put Jesus at the head of our marriages, they flourish, and He helps us keep our families close so that nothing can tear us apart. When we forget this most important element, our tree can become damaged, weakened and even be in danger of falling apart. One of my deepest desires is to help families stay together by nourishing this most important relationship.

The colors

Fresh greens speak of renewal and grounded growth. Citrus yellow and coral bring warmth and energy. Soft lavender suggests spiritual reflection, while the white space offers light, peace, hope, room to breathe, and the freedom to grow. The white background also symbolizes a clean slate, fresh starts, and new possibilities, which naturally connect to feelings of optimism and hope for the future.

Why a tree

From the time I was a little girl, helping my maternal grandmother, Belva, water the beautiful trees in our yard, as well as sitting with my paternal grandmother, Mildred, as she shared our family history and she showed me pictures of our ancestors, expressing to me that these dear souls were a part of our family tree; I have felt the significant importance of trees. There has been a special bond with trees in my life, as they seem to speak to the depth of my soul. Therefore, it seemed quite natural that my business logo would embody a very special tree.

Unearth your zest. Live divinely.

Rooted in faith.
Growing with purpose.

The logo is an invitation to become more deeply rooted in who you are, more aware of the gifts God has placed within you, and more willing to bring your unique fruit into the lives of others.
